W ten piątek minęła dziewiętnasta rocznica ataków terrorystycznych w Stanach Zjednoczonych.

 Jak co roku, wspominaliśmy tych, którzy stracili życie w tym strasznym dniu.

Pani Kasia Pawłóczenko, opiekunka naszego Samorządu, zorganizowała spotkanie z członkami Rady. Maja Rogaczewska, Mati Mikołajczyk, Tomek Basir, Krzyś Lala, Marianna Skowronek, Tomek Bereżecki, Kuba Ziemiaszewski i Szymon Głuchowski przeczytali tekst wybranym studentom. Za nimi podążał Pan John i uczniowie z ósmej klasy, którzy śpiewali piosenkę „If I had a hammer”. Przesłanie piosenki było jasne: jeśli chcemy uczynić świat lepszym miejscem, jest to w naszej mocy. Dysponujemy narzędziami i każdy z nas jest odpowiedzialny za ich użycie, aby czynić miejsce bardziej sprawiedliwym, bardziej wolnym i spokojniejszym. Kiedy to robimy, terroryści i inni złoczyńcy przegrywają, a my wygrywamy.

 Wspomnienie wydarzeń z 11 września jest dla nas wszystkich okazją, aby o tym pamiętać.
