Our 6B students took part today in a wonderfully creative stop-motion animation workshop at the Gdynia Animation Centre Gdyńskie Centrum Animacji .

They created a short film about Ignacy Łukasiewicz, the famous Polish inventor and pharmacist who invented the modern kerosene lamp and pioneered the petroleum industry.

Before filming, the students worked on their storyboard and scene plan, making a list of materials they needed to design their backgrounds and sets. The results were truly beautiful little works of art, full of details and moving elements.

Then came the filming process — a meticulous and time-consuming task, but seeing their static creations come to life was absolutely worth it! It was a fantastic learning experience and great fun for everyone.

This activity was carried out as part of the “Science Up! – Young Explorers in Action” project.

Stay tuned — we’ll soon share the final results of their work!
