We are happy and proud to announce that at this year’s Charity Auction, we raised a total of 74,590.65 PLN.  We are also grateful for the efforts, dedication, and generosity of all of those involved. We would like to extend sincere appreciation to those moms who helped in the preparation before the event and all the work that they did during the event. 

Heartfelt thanks to Pani Anna B., Pani Dagmara S., Pani Kinga S., Pani Emilia D., Pani Asia M., Pani Ewa W., Pani Ola N., Pani Agnieszka L., Pani Asia Sz., Pani Ewa M., Pani Anna W, Pani Dominika S.,and of course, our co-auctioneer, Pani Kama. Of course, many more people helped who cannot be named here, but we are grateful to all of them.
Real people with real problems will benefit from the American School’s efforts.  Specifically, these are the organizations and individuals to whom we have donated the money raised:   

• ‘House of Dreams’ Foundation (Fundacja Dom Marzeń) in Gdynia for English-language courses and Drama Classes for intellectually handicapped children.
• ‘With Pump Foundation’ (Fundacja z Pompą) which supports children hospitalized at The Hematology Ward of the Gdańsk University Clinical Centre.
• Gdynia Hospice for children (hospicjum Bursztynowa Przystań)
• Patrycja Wilga – A special device that allows individuals with severe physical disabilities to bathe will be purchased for this twelve-year-old girl.
• Dawid Hnatyk – Rehabilitation will be provided for this young man who suffers with leukemia and has recently had a bone-marrow transplant.

                As author Maya Angelou has said, “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” There is no better lesson to teach our young people.
