On the eve of National Independence Day we celebrated in our school the most important day of the year for the Polish nation and state.

Zdolni z pomorza

One hundred and one years ago, the Polish state returned to the map of Europe. After over a hundred years of partitions, Poles managed to gain independence. We paid tribute to both the heroes of the 19th century uprisings and the soldiers of the Polish Legions fighting during World War I. We prepared a very joyful presentation based on a collection of legionary songs composed and sung by legionaries.  Students from the 7th grade became actors and the young people from all of the classes sang several more songs.   At the end of the show, we all sang "We the First Brigade", a song that competed against "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego" for the status of the Polish anthem. That's how we started celebrating this important anniversary.
